Licenses are applied against a BMC Remedy or ServiceNow server.

Once licensed, any number of people, servers, or workstations may run any number of jobs pointing to the licensed server.

Licenses work from a Server's name. For BMC Remedy, this may be found in the configuration file, ar.cfg or ar.conf under the keyword: Server-Name. It can also be found using the web access under the AR System Administration Console, System, General, Server Information.

For ServiceNow instances, this may be obtained from the columns system_id in the single record of table sys_cluster_state. In the browser, select System Diagnostics, Diagnostics Page and use Name.
