About Free Diary Editor Licenses

Diary Editor is our gift to the Remedy Community!

Diary Editor is licensed on a server by server basis.

Licenses are free and valid for one year.

Once a server is licensed, any number of Diary Editor instances on any number of workstations can be run against that licensed server.

License Requests

A single license request is needed for a single server. Once a server is licensed, all users can share the same license.

To request a Diary Editor license, you will need to know the Remedy Server Alias from the ARS Server's configuration data.

You may get this from the AR User Tool's Home Page by clicking "AR Server Administration", then "Server", "General", "Server Information" on the left side menus. Copy the value of the "Server Name Alias" field. You could also simply grep 'Server Alias' from your server's ar.conf (ar.cfg) file.

Entering the License

The license key can be entered directly into the Diary Editor and is saved along with the Diary Editor user server information in the Windows registry.

The license can also be entered into a form on the licensed server. In this case, individual users of Diary Editor do not need the key.
